Develop your Action Plans

Action plans are a structured way to achieve outcomes within a given time frame. Without action plans, there is little order.

Resource Links

Develop a separate operational, curriculum and whole school action plan for each sustainability theme.

  1. Use checklists to identify
    • Actions – doing now
    • Actions – short term
    • Actions – long term
  • Choose the ten most effective short term actions to achieve each goal.
  • Write action plans for the ten actions.

    Action Plans

    Each Action Plan should include:

    • Tasks for each action (include communication to whole school community and links to curriculum)
    • Person responsible
    • Timeline
    • Links to guiding teaching and learning principles– from relevant government department
    • Resources needed
    • Cost
    • Teaching resources
